Josh is being NICE. Seriously. He’s been nice pretty well all week. I finally called it on him yesterday and asked him what the fuck was going on. He says he just decided it would be a good idea to be nice. I’ll be damned.
I really just don’t know what to make of this. He’s been nice before, just usually for really short periods of time – like hours. Never days. And certainly never a whole week. I suspect that perhaps it’s going to snow soon.
I’m enjoying every last bit of it while it lasts, because I know it can’t last forever.
I’ve still been a little grumpy off and on. I think the cat going missing is making me grieve for my dad some more. That and I was really stressed out about work until just a bit ago. I was days behind schedule and I knew it was going to catch up to me today. So when I came in this morning I set my mind on accomplishing things and that’s just what I did. I’m still a little behind, but it’s a whole lot more manageable now.
I’m really looking forward to my weekend. Josh says it’s going to be good, and he’s seldom wrong about these things, so I’m just going to have to take his word for it. Tonight we’re meeting his friend for dinner at one of our favorite pizza places. I’m hoping we don’t get home too late, I’d like to get some sleep tonight. Tomorrow morning it’s off for pedicures, brunch, art fair, and then the BBQ at Gemma’s. Sunday I’m hoping we can have a fairly quiet day, perhaps doing some creative things. I’d really like to spend some time with the new sock…
I’m very much enjoying how this is working up. I’m not necessarily a big fan of socks, but I figured if I’m making them for everyone else then I really should make a pair for me. I love this pattern. It’s so easy once you get the hang of it. The best part? No seams, not a one. There will be 2 ends to weave in but that’s it. It’s brilliant.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
