As usually happens, things got better after I got home. We talked and worked things out, again, and the rest of the night was good. I told him that when I’ve finally reached my limit with him that I’ll just stop fighting and talking entirely, and that’s when he’ll need to worry.
I did the gauge swatch for Hanne and got it started Friday night. This one might take a little longer than my sweater did. I started with 666 stitches and I only decrease by 4 stitches each row. Right now it’s taking me roughly 25 minutes to do a row. I’m really liking how the colors look together and it’s an incredibly easy knit. My goal is to have it finished in time to wear for my birthday in March.
Yesterday turned out to be a very good day. We got up early to take my mom’s car to the dealership to be looked at, had breakfast at Old Country Buffet, went to the grocery store, over to the doc’s office so my mom could pick something up, and then back to the dealership to pick up the car. Josh and I came home after that and started getting a few things done. In the afternoon we went to the movies and saw “Silver Linings Playbook” with Bradley Cooper. It was EXCELLENT. I highly recommend it to anyone with mental illness. It’s a love story but it’s also a story of hope. Go see it, I think you’ll like it.
After the movie we went to dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant. I had blackberry sangria and my absolute favorite pasta – it’s just noodles with tomatoes, garlic, and basil. It’s to die for. Josh had 2 Mai Tais and a sampler plate. It was delicious food and the service was really good, as always.
We came home and I thought I’d knit some more, but the sangria won. We spent the rest of our evening watching tv on the sofa. Unfortunately all the rich food last night did not agree with my stomach. I’ve been awake since around 3 with heartburn. But that’s alright – I finally had time to read all of my email and catch up on Facebook and now I might knit some more. I really need to figure out what I’m going to do today. I need to finish Josh’s mitten – he’s bitching about it – I should probably try to finish the first mitt for the brat, it would be good to spend some time with Mom’s sock, and I need to start another pair of socks for WeeGee. So much to do, only 2 hands to do it all with. And I still have part of my to do list left to finish.
I think it’s going to be a busy day…
