Really? Neither of them asked you to cover their shifts today? No emails? Nothing?
BULLSHIT – I SAW THE FUCKING EMAILS BECAUSE BOTH OF THEM CC’D ME ON THEM YOU LOUSY MOTHERFUCKING COCK SUCKING DONKEY RAPING SLIME SPORE EATING LIMP DICKED EXCUSE FOR A HOMO SAPIEN!!!!!
Sorry, I’m a little pissed.
Both my boss and K are gone today. The shifts at the other office would normally have been theirs. K sent an email to the Toad before she left – per our boss’ direction – TELLING him that he needed to cover her morning shift. She did this last Wednesday. I saw it. My boss sent him an email Sunday evening saying the same thing about her afternoon shift – again, I saw it because it also came to me. That lousy fucking bastard asked me this morning if I was covering over there all day because he never heard anything.
You have got to be kidding me.
I’m in no mood for this, I’m really not. I’ve got stuff that needs to be done and it’s way easier to do here. But I also have a legit reason I can’t take the afternoon shift – I’ve got a previous commitment that’s been on my calendar for a week now. I told his toady highness that I’ll go over there this morning, but he’ll have to do the afternoon. And then I immediately emailed my boss and K.
And now I’m done.
I’m not doing the passive aggressive bullshit anymore. She either figures out a way to put her fucking dog on a goddamn leash or I start looking for employment elsewhere. My workplace is becoming increasingly hostile and I just won’t tolerate that. Particularly when that fucking asshat makes so much more money than I do for providing next to nothing. No, I’m just about done.
Class last night was good. The program our group is evaluating is Adobe Edge Animate. It’s for making animation you can put on the web. I managed to make a sugar skull dance around the screen – it was pretty cool. I’m trying to figure out how to get it out in a way that y’all can see it. The guys I’m working with aren’t as bad as I’d feared. I do find it funny though that we’re the 3 oldest people in the class.
We did our usual thing of starting by talking about the reading we’d all done and then about an hour into it she told us we could go off in our groups and work. She mentioned that she had some examples of what we need to turn in next week to show us, but that was it. Everyone else scattered like roaches when you flip the light on. We stayed and worked almost until normal time.
And THAT is the difference between undergrads and grad students.
Got a call from K. She’s furious. The email barrage has started. She suggested I call another girl in our department who is totally capable of covering that office and ask her to do it and she was completely cool with it. She uses a laptop and said everything she needed to work on this morning was portable. YAY! And it was nice to hear from K again.
