Josh picked me up shortly after 4 and we headed home. The tire was still inflated, so he decided to pull the nail out. And nothing happened.
The nail was very short, bent at a 90 degree angle, and only the tip was stuck in the tread.
If you’re thinking I felt like an idiot you’d be 100% right. But, it was nice having time to visit with Mom on the ride to work this morning and it was nice having time to visit with Josh on the ride home. When Dad was still alive and working, Josh and I shared the Honda so I rode to work with Dad – my office was literally on the way to his – and then Josh would pick me up at 4. I cherished those times with both of my guys. And to be honest, I’d give anything to have just one more ride to work with Dad.
At any rate, I’ve been keeping busy since I got home. (big surprise, eh?) I cleaned out the dresser drawer where I keep my stash of candles, rearranged the contents of my nightstand, rearranged the way the cable modem and router are setup (I think they’ve been overheating), cleaned out my big craft project basket, and went through the main level of the book area. Josh thinks I should just fucking chill already, but I really don’t know how to do that. Once I realize that something needs to be done, I pretty well can’t rest until I do it. I’m honestly starting to think it’s a sickness.
