There are certain foods that I love eating that do not love me back. It used to be mostly beans and pepperoni. Now the list includes cooked onions and hard boiled eggs. And it doesn’t take long. I had 2 eggs and some toast for lunch around 2. It’s not quite 4 now and I’m about to make myself sick from the stench.
In other news, things are going rather well. I’ve got all of this week’s homework done and turned in and I’m planning to start on next week’s bits later tonight. Josh said that he needs to spend some time on school stuff tonight himself, so why not work on our tasks at the same time?
I also managed to get the Redbubble store finished and made live this morning. Several things have been viewed already, likely from the post I made on FB, but no orders yet. Still, I think it’s neat that people have seen my stuff. YAY!
And I spent some quality knitting/tv watching time earlier. I’m working on a vintage cotton towel and I’ve finished the bottom border and the first repeat. Now I’m thinking I don’t have enough of the yarn I started with and will have to punt. I’ve got LOTS more balls of cotton yarn, I stock up every time Michael’s has it on sale, but what I started with has several colors in it already so I’ll have to see what will coordinate.
The yarn I started with is the same as that top wash cloth, which is now being used to clean Mer’s nooks and crannies.
I also took some time this morning to print the patterns for the projects I’ve identified as wanting to include in my big goal. (and pretty well killed yet another color print cartridge in the process) The good news is that I’ve got the yarn for damn near every project already here. The bad news is that I’ve got a really neat yarn that I’m not sure what to do with.
There are 3 skeins and each has 280 yds, which is a nice amount. I’m thinking some variety of shrug or bolero, but I don’t have a pattern in mind just yet. If anyone has suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
In all, things are going well and I’ve very much enjoyed this break from work. I’ve finally felt like I had enough time to do all the things I needed to do as well as all of the things I wanted to do. Tomorrow I’ve got to haul myself in to the lab to get that damn blood draw done, but then tomorrow night Mom and I have tickets to the playhouse. And it sounds like Saturday I’ve got a date with my nieces to go do crafts.
