What an amazing time…
I don’t think I can even properly tell you how much more relaxed I am now than I was when we left. We laughed, we cried a little, we ate some really great food, and we shopped more than I thought possible. Holy hell I needed that.

I really enjoyed being able to spend that time with my mom. We haven’t taken a road trip like that in ages. I told her stupid jokes. we sang old country music together, and we swore loudly at other drivers. Priceless.
And now I need to go help Josh pick out a guitar. Maybe if I’m not so brain dead in the morning I’ll have something more intelligent to say.

Mostly full details are in the pics. But the highlights are a Swarovski crystal rose, leather purse, 8 CDs, 2 pair of earrings, a necklace, a gorgeous amethyst ring, purple painted glass dragonfly, lots of crap at Yankee Candle, some Lego kits, 5 pairs of funky socks, and a stuffed rat at Ikea. 😀

I love Yankee Candles! I normally go to Ross or Marshalls because they have seasonal ones on sale.

I like their plug-in oil things and the sphere jobbies. My office almost always smells like pineapple cilantro.

I LOVE that Grumpy Kitty t-shirt!! (I’ve got to get me one of them 😀 ) It’s good to be able to see some scenery from across the way too. I’m glad you had such a good time, you really needed it xx

Isn’t that the best? I’m really hoping it fits, they didn’t have it in the size I usually get but it looks kind of big. But it was too perfect to pass up.
Minnesota is beautiful. Where I live isn’t much different, but since that was about 6 hours north of us they’ve had cooler weather already so their leaves are gorgeous. There’s plenty of hills, lots of rivers, and once you get out of Iowa and into Minnesota there are a ton of lakes.
