I ache right now, utterly fucking ache. Most of the time pain doesn’t bother me. I had my tonsils out (at age 32) and a partial hysterectomy and took nothing stronger than Tylenol for either. But certain kinds of aches just about kill me. Right now my left lower back is acting up and my right ankle/heel/Achilles tendon area is throbbing. I’ve done the Tylenol, the heating pad on my back, and Soma, a prescription muscle relaxer the doc gave me last time I had issues with my back. Nothing is really cutting through it.
I have an appointment scheduled with the doc for next week, but at this rate I’m not going to last that long. I’m doing everything I know to do to try to help with my back and the only thing that really makes a difference is walking. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill yesterday and 20 today. I’m walking slower than I normally would, but still at a decent rate. And while I’m walking I feel pretty good. My foot doesn’t even seem so bad while I’m walking.
But then I stop, and it starts.
I absolutely have to be at work tomorrow morning for a meeting but I have every intention of calling the chiropractor to see if I can get an afternoon appointment. This misery has gone on long enough. I can’t even properly wipe my own butt right now and that’s just not right.
In the good news category, since I’ve had the two snow days this week I’ve gotten a ton of shit done including damn near every piece of the goals I set for myself. So yay. Hopefully by this time tomorrow I’ll have something better to report.
